ABOUT US

A group of Naturopathic Physicians has established the American Naturopathic Board of Sports Physicians (ANBSP), Section 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. We are requesting your approval and official affiliation.

 

Section A.    Mission Statement

Promoting the highest standards of excellence and clinical competence for Naturopathic Practitioners specializing in sports medicine and physical fitness. To receive a Certificate of the ANBSP, the practitioner must have demonstrated competency in the ability to perform the tasks required to act as a team physician (on field) and/or a sports physician (in the office). They should be able to identify, triage and manage sports related injuries on an emergent on-field basis as well as in a non-emergent office setting.

Section B.    General Purposes

The ANBSP has been founded as a nonprofit, tax-exempt, voluntary professional certification board and credentialing program dedicated to professional, educational, and scientific purposes, within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code and regulations, the Washington Nonprofit Corporation Act, and any applicable successor laws. The purposes and mission of the ANBSP, subject to the limitations set forth in these Bylaws   and in the Articles of Incorporation, are the establishment, maintenance, evaluation, and administration of professional credentialing programs in the field of Naturopathic Sports Medicine.
